The meeting has been held on July 20 where #ICC reached to a decision. Therefore, ICC had come to the conclusion and postponed the #T20WorldCup 2020.
This decision is based on covid-19 pandemic. The tournament initially scheduled for October-November 2020. Not only this but 2023 Men's World Cup is also clearly shifted from the February-March window to October-November. These all decisions has been made to recover the disruption caused by Covid-19.
During the meeting of the BBCI Board, they ultimately concluded to shift three years window of world cup. However, the decision for Women's World Cup, in New Zealand in February 2021 has not been taken. Thus, the #sportsnews is indicating this tournament will be held as per the original schedule.

Why the #tournament of 2023 is remained on the same schedule after the ICC's decision?
In the meeting, they have declared that the more time will be required to complete the qualifying events for the tournament.
Amidst the pandemic situation, a qualification pathway for the tournaments, #ODI Super League has also been on hold. This league was supposed to held in May 2020.
Meeting with ICC Board has been occurred various times since the month of April. They were intended to discuss contingency planning. But since then, the decision were hanging between yes or no.

- ICC Men’s #T20WorldCup 2022: This tournament will kick off from October – November 2022 with the final on 13 November 2022
- Remained on the same schedule, ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 will start in October with the final on 26 November 2023. And it will take place in #India.
